As water conservation is a key issue in the state of Kerala where we operate, our Cochin plant is equipped with a facility for rainwater harvesting. More than half of our annual water requirement is met by stored and processed rainwater. Another 11 million litres of collected rainwater is released into the ground. This raises the declining water table and improves the quality of groundwater through the dilution of fluoride, nitrate, and salinity. It also prevents soil erosion and flooding in the local area.
